3. Is Sportsbet.io Legit? 8.0/10

Sportsbet has a great reputation

Sportsbet License

Sportsbet is licensed in Curacao. This is pretty standard for the majority of online gambling sites.

Security Features

They offer and recommend activating 2FA (2-Factor Authentication), which continues to establish itself as the new normal for a secure log-in method.

One aspect I really liked was the simplicity of the account section, which is where you can enable 2FA, verify your account with 2 forms of photo evidence, and change your password if required.

As a new customer, it’s refreshing to see these options available from the beginning of the customer experience, rather than potentially running into verification problems at a later date.

Reputation of Owners

Sportsbet is owned by mBet Solutions, N. V. While I was unable to find much information about the owners, the outstanding reputation of the casino itself gives the owners an excellent reputation, in my opinion.

Complaints Received

Sportsbet has had a variety of scam accusations thrown their way, yet none of those accusations appear legit with complaints being dealt with effectively and timely.

One of the most common complaints that I could find is that the welcome bonus was not paid out on time.

Interestingly, this welcome bonus doesn’t exist anymore, so there may have been a fair reason for the scam accusation from the customer’s perspective, or more likely a fault at Sportsbet’s end.

Publicly on forums and issue-raising sites, they act fast.

All complaints are acknowledged and often dealt with in a direct and confident style by their community team which proves to me that any legit issues will be taken care of.

5. Casino Features 9.0/10

I am always excited to explore the casino of a sports-dominant betting site as it can often vary from amazing to amazingly bad!

With a separate casino brand under the Yolo Group, however, I was expecting a strong performance and I wasn’t left disappointed!

A fantastic range of games is delivered in a user-friendly way.

Excellent Navigation

Before going through the impressive list of games they have, the excellent navigation of the casino is worth talking about first.

If you are not sure what game you would like to play or you would like to try something new, then they point you exactly in the right direction.

Instantly you see scrollable lists such as ‘Trending Games’, ‘New Games we Love’ and ‘Best Live Casino’, but what really grabbed my attention was being able to explore ‘Themes’ and ‘Game Providers’.

You can immediately filter by the type of game you want and sort in the order that suits you best.

The left-hand menu also makes it easy to find popular games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Jackpot Slots, and more.

They have really thought about what’s best for the customer and that’s always a big tick from me!

Live Dealer

There are currently 109 live dealer games on Sportsbet created by many different providers.

You can search by the best hit rate, RTP, and volatility to give you the best chance of winning.

I enjoyed playing Crazy Time by Evolution, which features at the top of the best hit rate list.

Four bonus games and massive multipliers combine to give you a thrilling experience and lots of opportunities to win.

The live dealer I had played was very interactive with the players which always adds an extra element of fun.

Keep producing those top live games Evolution!

Roulette

There are 40 available roulette options to try with both live and non-live options clear to see.

If you like a classic table style, then three options are available, including Super Spade Games, which may be your best bet.

They host small, medium, and high stake tables to suit your stake limits and give you a range of special bet options for an immediate wagering option.

Great stuff!

Slots

Do you like slots? Well, Sportsbet offers you a lot, in fact over 1000 games!

There are 18 suppliers of games in total with the popular Play’n Go offering a massive 140 games in total.

If you can’t find a game that you like here, then you’re not a slots fan!

They have classics like Reactoonz, Book of Dead, and Rise of Olympus but also some games you may not be as familiar with.

The provider that stands out to me is One Touch, which supplies premium quality games with huge opportunities to win.

Lucky Lion, a featured game, was supremely enjoyable with a slick design and interface that would stand tall against the larger game providers.

Exclusivity

Sportsbet is an official partner with some of the top sports teams, including three major global football clubs: Arsenal FC and Southampton FC in the English Premier League, and São Paulo in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

In fact, in July 2021, it consolidated itself as the biggest master sponsor in the history of São Paulo Futebol Clube, three-time World and Libertadores champion, and six-time champion of Brasileirão! Impressive!

6. Sportsbook Features 8.0/10

There is a lot to admire about the Sportsbet sportsbook, which has established itself quickly in the market in a short space of time.

The overriding experience was really positive and it has all the elements of a great sportsbook that stands up to the competition.

It ticks all the boxes with sport and market offerings as well as user experience.

However, it never screamed excellence to reach a higher score.

Find out why below!

Available Sports

Sportsbet offers a wide range of sports that you would expect from a site with sports in its name!

This includes a great range of esports, a full offering of minor sports, and the more popular sports like football and tennis.

The site is clearly split into two options, ‘In-Play’ and ‘Upcoming’ so that you can easily navigate between events that are live and events that are in the future.

In major competitions, Sportsbet will offer over 100 markets pre-play for each game, which is very competitive.

Smaller competitions such as esports, table tennis, and darts still had at least 10 markets pre-play, so they have done well in providing widespread coverage.

However, I found that the site struggled to load up sports and competitions pages quickly, which can be a worrying sign for a customer looking to place an instant bet on a live event.

Are you odds-driven?

Not only do Sportsbet offer a wide selection of events, but they also have competitive odds.

In major competitions such as the Premier League, they offered a margin of 3.86% on the match odds market, which would see a nice return on a winning bet.

As expected, these numbers dropped off when looking at less popular markets and events, with esports events coming in at 9.33% margin pre-play.

In-Play for Sportsbet is a reflection of their pregame odds, with Japanese Soccer, a second-tiered competition using around a 5-6% margin for match odds.

Throughout the site, you can find examples like the above where the odds are competitive and this wouldn’t discourage me from using Sportsbet at all.

Cash-Out

It’s harder now than ever for gambling sites to separate from the competition with individual sporting betting markets.

And after a thorough review of Sportsbet.io, there isn’t a market that I haven’t seen before.

However, it’s worth talking about their cash-out option that performs very well in-play.

So much so that one customer managed to successfully cash out €65k after 9 out of 10 correct selections!

There’s still more to like about Sportsbet

Firstly, they offer horse racing from around the world, including the UK and France, with access to live streaming alongside a funded account.

This may be common in more established fiat sports betting companies, but not in the emerging crypto market and it’s impressive to see horse racing included in the Sportsbet.io package.

There is also the option to change the odds format seamlessly on every page. You can switch from Decimal, American, Hong Kong, Malaysian and Indonesian effortlessly, which broadens the preferred betting methods for players.

Finally, a live stats feed is welcomed alongside the majority of live events to keep up to date with what’s happening in the game, especially if you can’t watch it yourself.

Although lots of companies will offer a similar product, I found Sportsbet’s version to be simple and situated nicely alongside the event, not distracting or taking up too much space alongside the markets.

7. Poker Features

Unfortunately, there is no poker option on Sportsbet, but if anything changes, we’ll be sure to review it here!

8. Player Experience 9.0/10

If I was a member of the Sportsbet team, I would be proud of the player experience created for customers.

The design team understands what a customer wants!

Platform Features and Functionality

It’s clear to me that Sportsbet is heavily customer-focused with a design that helps players navigate through the site with ease.

The left-hand menu is short and snappy. It includes Promotions, Live Chat, and their Help Centre without the need to scroll heavily or look at the smaller print, often at the bottom of the page.

The user section, which includes Deposits, Withdrawals, My Bets, and Rewards, was excellently displayed with the different currency options easy to switch between.

A pleasant experience that I wish I could see with a lot of other sites!

Unfortunately, it’s very rare to find the perfect navigation, and a small issue for me was the bet-slip design.

I found the bet-slip for sports quite difficult to use, particularly when adding multiple bets for an accumulator.

Also, the constant need to maximize and minimize the slip to get the desired bet when changing pages was a frustration.

Mobile

The mobile web offering has a slick design and works extremely well on both sports and casino, albeit slow on occasion compared to desktop.

One nice addition was displayed on the casino section, where at the bottom of the screen, you can click on a feature to play a random game.

With so many games available to scroll through, I am impressed that they added this for mobile customers, knowing that it is often more difficult to explore the whole site effectively.

Design and Appearance

Although the positives of the player experience far outweigh the negatives on Sportsbet, it doesn’t have the explosive, wow factor that helps it stand out from the crowd.

But simplicity is often an undervalued attribute, and I really enjoyed my experience with both the sports and casino products.

The site displays intelligence in giving the customer what they want, which ultimately builds trust and brand recognition that would keep me coming back for more.

Registration Process

Registration on Sportsbet is simple. Just put in your user name, email, date of birth, and password. You can also sign up with Facebook, Google, Twitter, Telegram, or Line

9. Welcome Bonus

Unfortunately, Sportsbet does not have any welcome bonuses at the moment, confirmed by the ever-helpful live chat service.

Previously, they listed a 3x bonus on your first sports bet, with a maximum bonus earning of €30.

But this offer has since been dropped, possibly related to multiple complaints on forums.

However, they make up for it in a fantastic selection of regular promotions that are constantly changing and keeping loyal fans engaged.

Check out some of the best in the next section of my Sportsbet.io review.

10. Promotions 8.0/10

Giveaways, tournaments, price boosts, and more, Sportsbet absolutely nails its regular promotions section to keep all customers engaged.

However, without a welcome bonus and no reload options, how do the promotions look?

This could easily have been my largest section, but I have restricted myself to include some of the best options.

But make sure you check these out for yourself!

Regular Promotions

The weekly casino cashback deal has to be the starting place as all players can receive 10% cashback on their casino losses, up to a giant 400 mBtc!

This applies to all casino games apart from virtuals and requires opt-in at the start of the week, but overall, this is a brilliant deal for regular casino players looking for a no-nonsense promotion.

Don’t worry, there’s a regular promotion for sports players that certainly stimulate my appetite.

Every player can have an odds boost for every sport, every 24 hours!

If you fancy a bet on tennis, then football, and then esports, that’s 3 separate boosts.

This promotion maximizes your winnings and encourages you to bet on some sports that maybe you aren’t familiar with.

Reload Bonuses

With no reload bonus available, players may shy away from making that initial first deposit or regular deposits to Sportsbet.

Personally, I would prefer to have cashback on my losses than a reload bonus due to the wagering requirements often attached to this kind of promotion.

So if I were you, I'd stick with it and check out some interesting promotions you may not have seen before.

Innovative Promotions

What really helps Sportsbet stand out is the variety of promotions they are offering to customers.

You may read this article in a month's time and see a whole new selection. That’s a good thing!

At present, they have 100% Multi Bet offers where you can with new deals every two hours.

How about a huge sports payout?

If you guess 15 selections correctly each week, chosen by Sportsbet, then you will receive 3,000 mBtc!

If nobody wins, then the top player wins 300 mbtc. Not bad at all.

And it only costs the equivalent of 1 euro to enter!

There’s also Blackjack Master where winning 10 hands in a row grabs you a 50mBtc cash prize, a 30% multi-bet multiplier for 12 correct sporting selections, and many many more!

There is a small bit of information about fabulous VIP hostesses in the ‘About Us’ section, but Sportsbet strikes me as a place for fun and interesting promotions of small value, rather than a home for VIPs.

11. Customer Service 9.0/10

There is a 24/7 live chat service available at Sportsbet. I was impressed with the speed and service they provided.

They even offer 9 languages (a quote from the team themselves) of customer support, which is a fantastic achievement for a relatively new site.

On the three separate occasions, I spoke with the live chat service, they provided knowledgeable and instant responses to my questions.

I asked some difficult questions on some of their promotions and terms and conditions, and they responded with an intelligence that proved they knew the product extremely well.

The chat agents were personal with each experience being slightly different from the next.

Each of the social channels managed by Sportsbet is very responsive to any issues if that is your preferred method.

There was quite a delay when I asked about whether they used provably fair games at the casino, which was met with information about the Curacao license that unfortunately didn’t fully answer the question.

However, I will forgive this as the information isn’t fully listed on their site.
