In this 2023 Cloudbet review, I’m going to share with you what I’ve learned after hours of researching and interacting with the site.

What is Cloudbet? It’s a sportsbook and casino gambling site that has a fair reputation. They offer some good features but other things are lacking. I’ll explain more below.
 

Cloudbet License

Cloudbet is licensed in Curacao, which is pretty typical of the industry. Most sites are usually licensed here or in Costa Rica.
 

Security Features

Cloudbet states that they have a “100% secure” site. The site has an SSL certificate and games are provably fair and RNG-tested. You can set up two-factor authentication and SMS verification as well.

They also offer anonymous play as long as you are playing with cryptocurrencies. While you only need an email to register, they reserve the right for KYC upon withdrawals in fiat currency.
 

Reputation of Owners

Cloudbet is owned by Halcyon Super Holdings BV, but after extensive searching, I wasn’t able to find anything out about this company.
 

Complaints Received

In my research, I found several complaints besides the Cloudbet scam accusations that every site gets. The complaints on TrustPilot and AskGamblers were regarding slow payouts and poor customer service.

That being said, most complaints seem to be resolved quickly, and Cloudbet has their own Bitcointalk page where they appear to respond quickly to comments and complaints.

My main concern was a complaint on Casino Guru by a player in Finland who had his account locked while the casino ran a KYC that apparently took months to complete for some unknown reason. 

The player had made a deposit of 10 mBTC and was unable to access it or his account. The casino did not respond to queries about the issue and as far as I can find, it was never resolved.

This doesn’t appear to be the norm, however. Most complaints appear to have been resolved successfully. So, is Couldbet legit? Yes, because they are obviously making an effort to serve their clients properly and resolve issues.

You’ll find a nice assortment of live casino games at Cloudbet from Evolution Gaming and Vivo. I was pretty impressed with the number of games in this section. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any exclusive games. Of course, this certainly isn’t a deal-breaker, and the fun addition of arcade games sort of makes up for it. 

What can I say? I’m a sucker for arcade games.

This is a small thing, but I really appreciate how the whole sportsbook page is put together. It’s very clear and well organized. I’d love to see live streaming, but alas, no such luck except for eSports.

I like that they offer special bets along with the usual offerings. It definitely makes each game more fun to watch and bet on!

Cloudbet offers a nice player experience with some little extras that I liked. Let’s break down what the site has to offer.

Cloudbet has a smooth platform that is simple to navigate. One nifty little feature that I thought was nice is the ability to change the background theme! 
 

 
Don’t laugh! This is a great tool to help prevent eye fatigue. You can change from dark to classic to light, or set it on auto and it will change on its own.

I’m a little partial to the classic theme myself.

Aside from that fun little diversion, the game menus are easy to find and logical to navigate. 

However, I found it difficult to find contact information, information about deposits and withdrawals, and other information. An FAQ section would be helpful.

The Cloudbet mobile site is also optimized for easy play on your phone or tablet! 

Another nice feature is the blog, which is updated fairly regularly. Here you can find information on promotions, betting strategies, and even just general cryptocurrency information.
 

Design and Appearance

Let’s start with the home page. I like how uncluttered Cloudbet’s home page is. It’s visually pleasing, and informative without feeling overwhelming.

Both the desktop and the mobile sites have a really nice color scheme. I already mentioned the ability to change the background theme, which will adjust the appearance to one that suits you the best.

Pick a shade to match your mood. Or your shoes. Or whatever.

Registration is super simple. Use your email or set up an account with your Google, Facebook, or Github account. 

Check the box saying you’re of legal gambling age, select a language, and voila! You’re in!

After you register you choose your username, date of birth, set your format for sports odds, and add funds to your account with your crypto wallet or card.

When you get to the “add funds” part, you can choose your currency and buy crypto directly with your card, or use MoonPay.

Make sure you choose the currency that you want because you cannot change this later.

Cloudbet has good customer service. They offer 24/7 live chat that is easily found in your account menu. 

It even tells you where you are in the queue so you have an idea of how long you might have to wait. If it seems like it’s taking too long, they give you the option to wait or create a follow-up support ticket.

Options are nice.

I waited about a minute to get a polite and helpful response, so I’m going to say that I like their customer service.

You can also reach them via email, but I had a hard time finding the email address until I looked at the terms and conditions. It’s there, I promise.

Cloudbet's payment system is good. 

They reserve the right to apply a handling charge of up to 5% on deposits and withdrawals to cover transaction costs, as well as costs they incur for deposits from any amount of Cryptocurrency or fiat that you withdraw.

Which isn’t a great thing. Overall though, they have a fast, easy system for deposits and withdrawals.
